Came up with the idea for this a while ago and finally got around to making it. I got a lot of digital painting practice out of this one, especially with all the bits of shading, facial anatomy, and colorwork. This turned out to be something I'm really proud of. And yes, my frames are actually blue ^_^.
I used PaintTool SAI, a Wacom Bamboo Pen, and a photo as a reference. Took about 5 hours collectively.
