Exhalation 3

Diverging from the usual stuff for a bit! This is the third and final piece in my Exhalation series. Alternate title: Flutterflute

Color is the most important feature of my artwork and style, and I decided to put it to the test in three semi-surreal portraits around the theme of breathing—in particular, the different forms that exhalation can take. Yes, very artsy fartsy, but I've enjoyed playing with color and working to connect and realize my vision for this series.

This one took about 5 hours using PaintTool SAI and a Wacom Bamboo tablet. Everything is hand-drawn and most elements are based on photo references.
